Obituary for Roland H. Taft

Roland H. Taft, 95, formerly of Mendon passed away Monday, March 26, 2018 in the Lydia Taft House in Uxbridge.

A resident of Bellingham for more than 50 years, Mr. Taft was a meter reader for the former Mass Electric Corp. for 34 years before his retirement in 1984.

Roland was born October 12, 1922 in Milford, the son of the late Rufus E. and Pearl E. (Phipps) Taft and was a graduate of Mendon High School.

Mr. Taft was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps - 10th Armored Division during WWII.

He is survived by his sister, Beverly Harding of Windham, ME; his nephew, Bruce and his wife Nancy Harding of Douglas, and a great-niece Nicolette Harding of Windham, ME.

A graveside service, with military honors, in Swandale Cemetery, Mendon will be private
