Obituary for Leo P. Lucier

Leo P. Lucier, 88, of Milford passed away Tues. Feb. 6, 2018 in the Blackstone Nursing Home, Blackstone. He was the husband of the late Mary K. (Redden) Lucier who died in 2004.

Leo had been employed with the Milford Water Company for many years before his retirement. He had previously worked at the Milford Highway Dept.

He was born June 17, 1929 in Milford, the son of the late Emery and Alice (Rousseau) Lucier.

Leo was a lifetime member of the Maspenock Rod & Gun Club, the Nipmuc Rod & Gun Club and was an avid hunter. He was very handy and was known to be able to fix anything.

He is survived by his children, Leo “Chip” P. and his wife Debra Lucier of Milford, Marlene M. Lombardi of Milford, and Karen J. Carr of Hopedale; six grandchildren ,12 great-grandchildren, a daughter-in-law, Corinne Lucier of Franklin, 2 sisters-in law, Doris Redden of Hopkinton and Joyce Redden of Milford and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Gary P. Lucier and his siblings, Josephine Ostrand, Eva Deboer, Bertha Daudelin, Francis Lucier, Ernest Lucier, Albert Lucier, Louis Lucier, Edward Lucier, and Frederick Lucier.

Visiting hours will be held Sat. Feb. 10, 2018 from 10:30 - 11:30 AM in the BUMA-SARGEANT FUNERAL HOME, 42 Congress St., Milford followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon in St. Mary’s Church, 19 Winter St., Milford.

Burial will follow in Vernon Grove Cemetery, Vernon St., Milford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Boston Children’s Hospital, 300 Longwood Ave., Boston, MA 02115.
