Obituary for Josephine A. Calarese

Josephine A. (Palmieri) Calarese, 80, of Milford passed away Tues. May 8, 2018 at her home in Milford. She was the wife of James W. Calarese.

She was the office manager for Jim Calarese Photography and had also been a bank teller with the former Home National Bank at the Exchange St. branch for nearly 20 years.

Josephine was born in 1937 in Milford to the late James and Angelina (Capece) Palmieri and was a graduate of Milford High School, class of 1955.

Josephine’s pride and joy were her children and grandchildren whom she loved spending time with. She enjoyed traveling and taking cruises with her husband.

In addition to her husband Jim of 58 years, she is survived by her children, Michael J. Calarese and his wife Donna of Mendon, Michele Calarese Smith and her husband Gary of Clayton, NC and James W. Calarese, II and his wife Michelle of Milford; her sister, Angela DiAntonio of Milford; four grandchildren; Sam Calarese of Milford, Sydni Smith of Clayton, NC, James W. Calarese III and Jessica Calarese both of Milford and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Anthony J. Palmieri, MD.

Visiting hours will be held Sat. May 12, 2018 from 8-9:30 AM in BUMA-SARGEANT FUNERAL HOME, 42 Congress St., Milford followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main St., Milford.

Burial will be at a later date.
