Frances G. McManus

Whitinsville – Frances G. (Serafin) McManus, 62, of Sunset Dr. died Fri. evening June 18, 2010 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Gerald W. “Jerry” McManus.

Mrs. McManus was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse for UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Sutton Internal Medicine until her retirement in Oct. of 2009.

She was born May 18, 1948 in Worcester, a daughter of the late Joseph B. and Amelia F. (Zicius) Serafin. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Worcester, Class of 1966 and the David Hale Fanning School of Nursing.

Mr. & Mrs. McManus observed their 42nd wedding anniversary on March 23, 2010.

Mrs. McManus was an avid gardener and enjoyed vacationing in Old Orchard Beach with her family and friends. She loved life, family and her cat Malcomb and especially visits with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband , she is survived by two daughters; Stacy A. and her husband Jorge Stephenson of Sutton, Amy F. and her husband David Cole of Auburn, one sister; Dorothy A. Baron of Worcester, 3 grandchildren; Taylor L. Cole, Katie M. Cole and Spencer M. Stephenson and her friends whom she considered angels; Madelyn Rivera, NP, Linda Lincicome, LPN and Deborah Blanchard.

A service of sharing and remembrance will be held Sat. June 26, 2010 at 5 PM in the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 480 Church St., Whitinsville, 01588.

Visiting hours will be held Sat. June 26, 2010 from 2-5 PM prior to the service in the funeral home.
