Mashpee – Bertha (Jellesma) Trasavage, 94, of Mashpee and formerly of Whitinsville, died Thurs. June 17, 2010 in the JML Care Center in Falmouth. She was the wife of the late Konstant J. Trasavage who died in 1992.

Mrs. Trasavage was born Nov. 11, 1915 in Whitinsville, the daughter of the late Klaas and Greta (Harkema) Jellesma. She attended Northbridge schools and bible classes at the Pleasant Street Christian Reformed Church in Whitinsville.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed staying close to her family.

Mrs. Trasavage is survived by two sons; Ronald O. and his wife Elizabeth Trasavage of Sudbury and Robert K. Trasavage of Mashpee, one granddaughter Suzanne E. Trasavage of Sandwich and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was very close to a niece, Faith Buck and a cousin, Kathryn VanderBaan. She was predeceased by one brother William Jellesma and one sister Kathryn Oostdyk.

Funeral services will be held Monday June 21, 2010 at 11 AM in the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 480 Church St., Whitinsville 01588.

Interment will follow Pine Grove Cemetery, Linwood Ave., Whitinsville.

Visiting hours will be held Monday from 10-11 AM, prior to the service in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Fairlawn Christian Reformed Church, c/o Building Fund, 305 Goldthwaite Rd., Whitinsville, MA 01588.
