Gerard L. Laflamme Sr.

Harrisville, RI – Gerard L. “Gummie Bear” Laflamme Sr., 62, formerly of Woonsocket, RI, died Fri. May 28, 2010 in the Home and Hospice Care of Providence RI surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Cynthia (Bernardini) Boucher Laflamme.

Mr. Laflamme was born July 4, 1947 in Woonsocket, RI, the son of the late Francois and Exilda (Salios) Laflamme. He attended St. Claire’s School in Woonsocket.

Mr. & Mrs. Laflamme were to observe their 2nd anniversary on Sept. 28, 2010.

He was a member of the Pleasant St. Christian Reformed Church in Whitinsville and the Happy Wanderers of Woonsocket, RI for more than 26 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter; Therese (Laflamme) and her husband Alan Knight Sr., four sons; Kenneth Laflamme, Timothy Laflamme , Gerard and his wife Jaime Laflamme Jr. all of RI., and Paul and his wife Paula Laflamme of MA., one step son Neil Boucher of MA., one step-daughter Jennifer (Boucher) and her husband Jason Nixon of MA., two sisters; Florence (Laflamme) Dumais , and Rita (Laflamme) Daigle of both of MA., 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by one sister Doris T. Laflamme.

Funeral services will be held Thurs. June 3, 2010 at 10 AM from the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 480 Church St., Whitinsville, MA 01588 followed by a funeral service at 11 AM in the Pleasant Street Christian Reformed Church, 25 Cross St. Whitinsville, MA 01588.

Visiting hours will be held Wed. June 2, 2010 from 5-8 PM in the funeral home.
