Milford- Emily A. (Johnson) Lutfy, 88 , formerly of Purchase St., died Sat. May 29 in Milford Care and Rehab. Ctr. She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Lutfy who died in 1990.

Mrs. Lutfy had been employed at Telechron in Ashland for several years.

She was born March 1, 1922 in Natick, the daughter of the late Frank and Abbie (Robie) Johnson and was a graduate of Natick High School.

A resident of Milford for most of her life, Mrs. Lutfy was an active member of the Trinity Episcopal Church of Milford and the church’s St. Margaret’s Guild. She loved knitting and time spent with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Lutfy is survived by three sons; Joseph C. Lutfy and Paul E. Lutfy, both of Milford, and John W. Lutfy of Webster; one daughter, Ellen R. Cohen of Enfield, CT, 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by one son David Lutfy who died in 1955, a brother Frank Johnson and a sister Edna Johnson.

Funeral services will be Thurs. June 3, 2010 from the Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home, 42 Congress St., Milford followed by a Celebration of Life with Eucharist at 10 AM in the Trinity Episcopal Church, 17 Congress St., Milford. Burial will follow in Vernon Grove Cemetery, Milford.

Visiting hours will be Wed. June 2, 2010 from 4 - 7 PM in the funeral home.
