Uxbridge - Geri A. (Harrington) Desrosiers, 73, of Uxbridge, passed away Sun. May 23, 2010 in UMASS Med. Ctr., Worcester. She was the wife of the late Leo Desrosiers who died in 1990.
She was born in 1936 in Nasonville, RI the daughter of Caroline (Kinzel) Harrington of Whitinsville and the late Harry Harrington and had attended Uxbridge High School. She was a resident of the Uxbridge area and Woonsocket for most of her life.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren at parties and cookouts. Geris passions included puzzles of all kinds including crosswords and jigsaws, all things patriotic, country music, trips to the ocean, and watching live Karaoke. She was a tremendous supporter of Team Angels 27 of the UMass Walk to Cure Cancer and wore her team shirt proudly.
In addition to her mother Caroline, Mrs. Desrosiers is survived by two sons David and his wife Sue Spaulding of Uxbridge and Harry Spaulding of Worcester; 3 daughters Margaret Pat Pratt of Whitinsville, Darlene Spaulding of Uxbridge, and Tammy and her husband Brian Emerick of Uxbridge; a brother Thomas Harrington of Ventura, CA; 7 grandchildren including Angela, Steven, Eric, Stephen, Melanie, Kari, and Lisa, and 3 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother Harry Harrington, Jr. and a sister Margaret Smythe.
Funeral services will be held Fri. May 28, 2010 at 10 AM in the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 101 N. Main St., Rte. 122, Uxbridge, MA 01569.
Visiting hours will be Thursday May 27, 2010 from 6 8 PM in the funeral home.
