Uxbridge John I. Wright, 78, died Thursday morning, May 20, 2010 in the Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of Margaret G. (Thornton) Wright.
Mr. Wright was employed as a Truck Driver and Heavy Equipment Operator for Irving Trucking in Holliston for 35 years before his retirement in 1993. He had previously been employed for Holliston Sand in Holliston, O.B. Hill Co. in Natick and DeCarlo Brothers in Newton.
Mr. Wright was born July 11, 1931 in Lexington, the son of the late William and Mary P. (Ingram) Wright. He attended Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston.
Mr. & Mrs. Wright observed their 37th wedding anniversary on May 10, 2010.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Wright is survived by one son William Wright of Waltham, two daughters; Jacqueline Holmes of Wilmington and Jayne Jarvie of Billerica, two sisters Martha Oulette and Jean Wright both of Lexington and 3 grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by one sister Margaret Wright and one brother, Alexander Wright.
Funeral Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
