She was predeceased by three brothers; Albert, Lester, and Raymond Jones, and by her three step-children; Harold and Robert Chase, and Lois (Chase) Roberts.

Mrs. Chase was a graduate of Farmington Normal School in Farmington, Maine, and continued her education at Plymouth Teachers College in Plymouth, New Hampshire. She taught elementary school students in New Hampshire until she relocated to Uxbridge, MA to care for her aunt where she met Mr. Chase and they were married on December 7, 1956 and moved into their home in Northbridge.
Mrs. Chase was a born educator, with a quick wit, a wealth of compassion, and the capacity to inspire the best in people, as she lovingly shared her wisdom and faith.
Mrs. Chase was a member of the Rockdale Congregational Church for over 42 years, where she leaves many friends. She taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, played the piano, worked with the Women's Fellowship, and visited those who were unable to attend church.
