Charles E. Patton
Hopedale – Charles E. “Chuck” Patton, 51, of Mill St. died Sat. Jan. 30, 2010 in the Milford Regional Medical Center, Milford. He was the husband of Lynne A. (Brooks) Patton.
Mr. Patton was employed as a Fleet Manager for Braun’s Express in Hopedale for the past 15 years. He had previously owned and operated “Patton Trailer Service” in Uxbridge.
Mr. Patton was born June 10, 1958 in Malden the son of James H. and Mary A (Seeley) Patton Sr. of Hopedale. He had been a resident of Somerville and Bellingham before moving to Hopedale 31 years ago. Chuck was a graduate of the Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School, Class of 1977.
Mr. and Mrs. Patton observed their 31st wedding anniversary in August 2009.
Mr. Patton collected antique trucks and tractors. He was a member of the “New England Rock Busters” and the Granite State and Bay State chapters of the “Antique Truck Club of New England”. Chuck was recognized by Mack Trucks for his position as Fleet Manager and honored him as a member of the “Mack Pack”.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by two daughters, Emily A. Patton and Kimberly E. Patton, both of Hopedale, one brother; James H. Patton Jr. of N. Smithfield, RI. three sisters, Donna A. Gee and Cheryl E. Merlo, both of West Bridgewater and Nancy M. Patton of Medway and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 AM on Tues. Feb. 2, 2010 in Sacred Heart Church, 187 Hopedale St. Hopedale, MA, 01747. Burial will follow in South Hopedale Cemetery, Plain St. Hopedale, 01747
There are no public visiting hours.
