Hopedale – Mrs. Sharon A. (Ghetti) Giroux, 56, of Hopedale, died Tues., Jan. 5, 2010 at home. She was the wife of David J. Giroux.

Sharon was born on March 11, 1953 in Milford a daughter of the late Albert Ghetti and Violet (Carachino) Ghetti of Hopedale. She has been a resident of Hopedale all of her life.

She graduated from Hopedale High School, Class of 1971 and earned a Bachelor’s degree from Bryant University in N. Smithfield, R.I.
Sharon worked as the manager of Palumbo Insurance Agency in Medfield for over 20 years retiring 2 ½ years ago due to illness.
She and her husband celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary on Sept 19, 2009.
In addition to her husband and mother, she leaves her children, Allison V. Brown of Mendon, Amy E. Giroux of Milford and Gregory D. Giroux of Westborough; a granddaughter, Lauren Elizabeth of Mendon and a host of friends and relatives.
Funeral services will be held Sat., Jan. 9, 2010 at 9 AM from the BUMA-SARGEANT FUNERAL HOME, 42 Congress St., Milford followed by a Mass of the Resurrection at 10 AM in Sacred Heart Church, 187 Hopedale St., Hopedale. Interment will follow in Hopedale Village Cemetery, Hopedale.

Visiting hours will be held Fri., Jan. 8, 2010 from 4-8 PM in the funeral home.
