Hopedale – Richard E. Hauge, 62, of Freedom St. died Sun., Jan. 3, 2010 at home. He was the husband of Faye M. (Sears) Hauge.
Mr. Hauge was an Operations Clerk for 25 years at Wells Fargo Advisors in Providence, RI.
He was born Nov. 29, 1947 in Providence, RI, a son of the late Olaf and Gladys (Mattson) Hauge. He was a graduate of Burrillville High School in Burrillville, RI and had attended Rhode Island Community College in Lincoln, RI.
Mr. Hauge served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
Mr. & Mrs. Hauge observed their 20th wedding anniversary on Sept. 23, 2009.
Mr. Hauge enjoyed watching and attending Drum & Bugle competitions throughout the United States.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one step-daughter, Tanya Caron and her husband Rob of Mendon, one brother Jon Hauge and his wife Stephanie of Morristown, NJ, one niece, Greta (Hauge) Linner and her husband Peter of Sweden and one grandson, Paul Caron of Mendon.
Funeral services with Full Military Honors will be held Thurs., Jan. 7, 2010 at 10 AM in the Union Evangelical Church, 25 Dutcher St., Hopedale, MA 01747.
Interment will follow in the Union Cemetery, Great Road, North Smithfield, RI 02876.
Visiting hours will be held Weds., Jan. 6, 2010 from 5-8 PM in the BUMA-SARGEANT FUNERAL HOME, 42 Congress St., Milford, MA 01757.
