Milford – Doris S. (Evers) Williams, 84, of Milford, died Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 in the Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Roy E. Williams who died May 12, 1996.
Mrs. Williams was a Hotel Lobby Attendant at the former Milford Sheraton Hotel for more than 8 years before her retirement in 1993. She previously worked for many years at the former Cushing Hospital in Framingham. During her retirement she worked part time for Primary Home Care of Milford.
Mrs. Williams was born July 5, 1928 in Hudson, daughter of the late Elwood J. and Stella (Paquette) Evers and she had been a resident of Hudson before moving to Milford in 1942. She attended the Hudson public school system.
Mrs. Williams was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Milford and a former member of the Italian American Veterans Club of Milford.
She is survived by one sister Ruth Graham of Worcester and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother Elwood J. Evers, Jr.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 11 AM in the BUMA-SARGEANT FUNERAL HOME, 42 Congress St., Milford, preceded by a visiting hour from 10-11 AM in the funeral home.
Interment will follow in the Vernon Grove Cemetery, Vernon St., Milford.
